Emily Strong is a native of Western New York and made the move to New York City in September of 2015. She is an experienced vocal and guitar instructor, singer songwriter / composer and musical theater performer.

 

Emily has written for and performed in a number of Rock and R&B bands over the last several years as well. In 2014, her band “The Distractions” was selected to play as opening act for legendary comedian Bob Newhart.

Emily writes and records her original music and enjoys producing music videos to accompany her work. She is also working on an original musical.

 

Throughout the years of practicing her craft, some of her fondest memories remain those made while creating art as a young adult in high school and earlier. It was the time she spent learning and experimenting in a safe and supportive environment that paved the way for further exploration and study. Emily is passionate about offering that same support and guidance to new and young artists in a safe and nurturing environment!

She has studied voice and acting with Broadway veterans Jan Horvath and Keith Buterbaugh.
